A thirteen horse field is set to go postward at 4:03 EST in a race where bettors with an opinion are likely to get a fair price on whomever they choose.  Dame Dorothy is the lukewarm 5/2 favorite for trainer Todd Pletcher after losing her first career start in five tries November 29 in the Grade 3 Comely Stakes at Aqueduct.  Since the defeat, the four year-old daughter of Bernardini has worked well in south Florida and should appreciate turning back to a sprint distance after racing at a mile and an eighth in her last start.  Dame Dorothy has banked $271,900 in her career.

My Pal Christy returns from layoff

My Pal Christy (6/1) hasn’t raced since April, but was knocking heads with Grade 2 company when last seen.  The Martin Wolfson trainee has hit the board in her last 12 starts including a second place finish in the Grade 2 Inside Information Stakes at Gulfstream in March.  The seven year-old mare has recorded 11 wins in 47 career starts while banking $856,158.

Toasting should be the right price  

Toasting (8/1) has a live look for trainer Thomas Albertrani.  The five year-old daughter of Congrats likes the Gulfstream track (2 for 4 lifetime) and was in the best form of her career last fall.  Jockey Javier Castellano gets the call after riding the aforementioned Dame Dorothy in her last two starts.
