Todd Pletcher has pre-entered ten horses for the Breeders Cup which will be held over the course of two days, October 30 and October 31, at Keeneland in Lexington, Kentucky. One of the top barns in the country, Pletcher has saddled seven Breeders Cup winners to date.
Of his loaded stable of contenders, the brilliant Liam’s Map tops the list and will be a probably favorite in the Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile (G1). A four-year-old son of Unbridled’s Song, the lightly-raced colt has won five of his seven starts and won the Woodward Stakes (G1) last time out. He has been training steadily at Keeneland since that performance. Javier Castellano is slated to be in the irons when entries are officially taken.
Rachel Alexandria daughter a rising star
Always loaded with a plethora of promising juveniles, the pedigree of his Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1) contender Rachel’s Valentina has already made the filly a rising star. The second foal out of Horse of the Year Rachel’s Alexandra, the bay daughter of Bernardini is undefeated from two starts and won the Spinaway Stakes (G1) in her first start against stakes competition. She is scheduled to have John Velazquez aboard.
